Cameron Norrie earned the most important success of his career by rallying from a early deficit to beat top-ranked player Carlos Alcaraz in three hard-fought sets in the early stage of the Paris Masters.

While he had before defeated Alcaraz on two prior meetings, this victory represents Norrie's initial victory over a sitting world top-ranked player.

Norrie, seeded 31st in the world, also stopped Alcaraz's impressive run of nine finals in a row and 17 consecutive premier event victories, which marked the top run of results in the Spaniard's developing professional path.
